MANILA, Philippines—A Philippine man accused of taking appliances from a Phoenix home has been charged with theft and is being held in police custody.
The man, who has not been identified, is accused of breaking into the home of his wife, a Filipino immigrant, on May 3 and stealing household appliances including kitchen appliances.
He allegedly took about 200 of the household appliances, valued at about P100,000.
A police report said the man admitted to the burglary and said he had no knowledge about the home or its contents.
The couple were not home at the time of the burglary.
The report said his wife is not a victim of the crime and was the sole occupant of the house.
